Marking Ram Navami on Wednesday, Aam Aadmi Party launched a website, 'Aap ka Ram Ramjya' to showcase the party's achievements in Delhi and Punjab.

"Those who want to see our imagination of Ram Rajya must visit our website. What work have we done in Delhi and Punjab? You can see all that and then join us," said AAP MP Sanjay Singh during a press conference attended by AAP leaders Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj and Jasmine Shah.

"We are determined to fulfil our vision of Ram Rajya on the ground. In these 10 years, we not only formed the government thrice in Delhi but also formed the government in Punjab with an overwhelming majority," Singh said.

"The Kejriwal government in Delhi and the Bhagwant Mann government in Punjab have done such work, whose examples are being given by the countries of the world today. Delhi is the only state that has a profitable budget despite doing so much work," he added.

Drawing parallels, minister Atishi said Lord Ram faced struggles for Ram Rajya and in the same way Arvind Kejriwal has to go through a similar struggle to fulfil the promises made to the people of Delhi and Punjab.

"Being inspired by Ram Charit Manas, Kejriwal ji has said that he has been working for the last nine years to fulfil the promises made by him to the people of Delhi and Punjab. Lord Ram had to face a struggle to fulfil Ram Rajya. He went into exile for 14 years but did not break his promise. Kejriwal also had to through a similar struggle," Atishi added.

Pointing out why they launched the website, she said, "We are doing this so that the people of the country can be told how their lives can change if they cast their vote at the right place."

Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj said there are two types of Ram Rajyas, one that was envisioned by Mahatma Gandhi and the other of Nathuram Godse. “Ram Rajya means a model state and a welfare state that ensures that people live without any problems,” he added.

Citing Goswami Tulsidas’s verse from Ram Charitmanas, Bharadwaj said that in Ram Rajya there was no suffering and people lived in harmony, which is very important. “When Arvind Kejriwal talks about Delhi or Punjab model, he talks about such kind of Ram Rajya.”

Explaining the contours of the website, senior AAP leader Jasmine Shah said, “The most important aspect of this website is that it is not laden with political content. It carries content backed by statistics and has videos on the experiences of people in different sectors and schemes. For instance, what positive impact did the happiness curriculum had on children and their parents can be seen on the website.”
