Low-intensity explosions reported at Jammu airport; drones suspected, probe underway

Low-intensity explosions were reported at the Indian Air Force (IAF) station at Jammu airport, with the military confirming that there is no damage to any equipment. Investigations are underway. "Two low intensity explosions were reported early Sunday morning in the technical area of Jammu Air Force Station. One caused minor damage to the roof of a building while the other exploded in an open area," the IAF tweeted. 

News agency ANI reported that two drones were used to carry out the explosions. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to Vice Air Chief, Air Marshal H.S. Arora regarding the incident, and Air Marshal Vikram Singh is reaching Jammu to take stock of the situation, the news agency reported.

"A high-level investigation team of the Indian Air Force (IAF) to reach Jammu shortly. The possible target of the drones was the aircraft parked in the dispersal area," ANI reported.
