The COVID-19 induced lockdown was a tough time for most people. While those who had the comfort of a steady job and the luxury of working from home, read, binged one show after another, learned to cook, got fitter and did everything else possible to kill boredom, a student from Kerala used all the time that the lockdown accorded to study new things.

For Arathi Reghunath, a native of Kochi in Kerala, the COVID-19 induced lockdown was a time to learn, a lot, precisely 350 courses.

According to a New Indian Express report, Reghunath, a student of MSc Biochemistry student of MES College, completed the courses in just three months. The courses are listed on Coursera, an open online course provider that offers "courses from top universities like Yale, Michigan, Stanford, and leading companies like Google and IBM."

Her rare feat earned her a world record from Universal Record Forum (URF).

Reghunath told New Indian Express that it was a faculty at her college that introduced her to the world of online course. "With the support of my college principal Ajims P Muhammed, Coursera coordinator Haneefa K G, and class tutor Neelima T K, I managed to finish the courses I signed up for within a few weeks," she was quoted as saying.

The courses she completed include those offered by University of Virginia, State University of New York, John Hawkins University, University of Copenhagen, University of Rochester, and Technical University of Denmark among others.
