With the cases increasing, the state government has also tied up with three private hospitals in Ahmedabad to admit COVID-19 patients if the patients are willing to spend from their own pockets. A government official said, in normal course, COVID-19 treatment is free of cost in government hospitals and with select private hospitals with whom the government has entered into an agreement and is to pay for the treatment cost.
