Former Pakistan High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit had become a laughing stock on social media after he retweeted a Twitter post which claimed to deal with "Indian atrocities" in Jammu and Kashmir. In his hasty attempt to peddle an anti-India narrative, he committed a faux pas on the micro-blogging site. Basit retweeted the picture of an adult movie star Johnny Sins, mistaking him for a Kashmiri protester, according to reports. The minister retweeted a waggish post from the handle @blundertarar with a still from an adult film starred by porn actor Johnny Sins, reports further claimed.

Now, Sins himself has weighed in on the fun, according to ANI. "Shout out to @abasitpak1 for all the new twitter followers! Thanks but my vision is fine," he tweeted. He was referring to Basit's original tweet, which he claimed was the image of a man who lost his eyesight to pellet guns.

Tension spiked between India and Pakistan after New Delhi abrogated provisions of Article 370 that gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir, on August 5. India's move drew strong reaction from Pakistan which expelled Indian envoy, suspended bilateral trade, downgraded the diplomatic ties and stopped all the cross-border train and bus services.

India, however, categorically told the international community that the scrapping of Kashmir's special status was strictly its internal matter and Pakistan had no locus standi on the state.
