Video of a cow who strayed into IIT classroom gone viral

A video of a cow walking in a lecture hall of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B) has gone viral.

It shows a cow walking through a classroom while a few students try to chase it away. Students of the IIT-B shared the video of the cow who strayed into their classroom.

A student claimed that the incident occurred on the first floor of a lecture hall complex on Saturday. It got into the classroom by walking a slope that connects the lecture halls of different levels.

Officials at the premier institute have not confirmed that the incident happened inside the campus, but several students have said it was shot inside the IIT lecture hall.

Cattle walking around are a common sight in the campus, especially during the rainy season. Recently a leopard was found in the IIT Bombay campus during a heavy rain.

IIT Bombay issued a statement saying they are looking into the matter. The director has constituted a committee to look into the incident. They have been asked to take necessary action based on consultation with BMCs, NGOs, and veterinarians.
