Three journalists sustained minor injuries after a barricade broke during Congress president Rahul Gandhi's roadshow in Kerala's Wayanad on Thursday. The injured were helped to the ambulance by Rahul and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who accompanied him in the roadshow post the filing of his nominations.
In the video, posted by a local Youth Congress leader named V.S. Joy, Rahul can be seen helping by holding the stretcher carrying the injured journalist to the ambulance, while Priyanka was holding the shoes of the reporter.
Unprecedented scenes unveiled in Wayanad's Kalpetta as Rahul arrived to file his nomination papers on Thursday. Rahul submitted his nomination papers before the district collector of Wayanad at the collectorate complex at 11:40am. Owing to massive crowd, Rahul undertook a roadshow before and after the submission of his nomination papers.
Rahul left for Nagpur around 1:30pm and is expected to return to Wayanad only a couple of times for campaigning before Kerala goes to polls on April 23.
