Kerala is on an edge as the gates are set to be opened for the first time since the Supreme Court last month lifted the centuries-old ban on women in the 10-50 age group and allowed women of all age groups to enter the Sabarimala temple. The situation at Nilakkal, the gateway to Sabarimala temple, is slowly returning to normalcy as police are firmly tackling protesters who have gathered there to prevent young women from proceeding to the Ayyappa shrine.
