Bollywood star Salman Khan has once again hit the headlines, this time for his weight loss after he revealed that he lost 16 kg on a show.
Over the past few months, the 60-year-old actor had sparked curiosity after fans noticed his lean physique in viral photos and videos. While speculation about his health circulated online, the actor has now confirmed his weight loss on the show Lock Upp when he came on the show to meet his brother Sohail Khan.
Physical transformations are not new for Salman Khan. Throughout his career, he has transformed himself for roles where he gained and later shed significant weight as well. His latest 16 kg weight loss, however, had some fans become very concerned about the actor's health.
Recently, the actor made an appearance at an event organised by Mumbai's Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) and looked dull with noticeable weight loss and slower movements. Later, the actor on his official Instagram page posted pictures of himself with a caption, Aap logon ki tabiyat kaisi hai? ("How is everyone? How is your health?") was widely interpreted as a response to the speculation about his own well-being.
Salman Khan had earlier revealed that he was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia, a condition that causes intense pain similar to an electric shock on one side of the face. The condition is caused when the trigeminal nerve that carries signals from the face to the brain is affected and it can be long-lasting.
This condition is more common in women and people above the age of 50, and individuals who are diagnosed with this condition may have short, mild episodes of pain at first; later, it worsens with longer periods of pain that happen often.
