"Ramayana" is performing impressively during the weekend box office run, collecting ₹69.80 crore net in India on Day 3 across 23,696 shows. With strong performances in Hindi and the South Indian languages, the film has reached an India net total of ₹182.70 crore and an India gross total of ₹218.25 crore in just three days.

Per box office tracker Sacnilk, the film also recorded an impressive performance overseas, earning ₹68.50 crore on Day 3. This takes its total overseas gross collection to ₹165.75 crore. As a result, the worldwide gross collection has reached a massive ₹384 crore, outperforming, in terms of three-day cumulative global gross, the actor's previous blockbuster, "Animal"(est. ₹360 crore).

However, "Animal" continues to hold the top position domestically. Released in 2023, the film collected ₹71.46 crore net on its third day. "Animal" also recorded a three-day India net total of ₹201.53 crore. In comparison, "Ramayana" marks Ranbir Kapoor's second-highest individual Day 3 collection. It has already surpassed the third-day earnings of two of his major blockbusters, "Sanju" and "Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva".

The Hindi version of "Ramayana" remained the biggest contributor to the film's domestic earnings, collecting ₹53 crore net from 19,927 shows. The Kannada version earned ₹6.30 crore from 907 shows, while the Telugu version collected ₹6 crore from 1,586 shows. The Tamil and Malayalam versions added ₹2.50 crore from 683 shows and ₹2 crore from 593 shows, respectively.

One of the most interesting aspects of the film's performance was the efficiency of its regional versions. The Kannada version recorded the highest average collection per show, at approximately ₹69,460. This suggests strong audience demand despite fewer screenings than the Hindi version.

Hindi, meanwhile, contributed around 75.9 per cent of the day's domestic net collection, making it the biggest driver of the film's box office success. Its average collection is approximately ₹26,597 per show. The Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam versions also delivered steady results, with average collections ranging from ₹33,000 to ₹38,000 per show.

Another major factor behind the strong performance of "Ramayana" has been its festive release. Releasing on a Thursday during the Diwali period, the film benefited from increased holiday footfall and recorded a reported 45.3 per cent jump in collections on Saturday.

The film's multi-language release has also played an important role. While the Hindi version has driven the bulk of its earnings, Yash's presence and the film's appeal across South India have helped it attract audiences in several regional markets.

"Ramayana" (aka Ramayana: Part 1) currently holds the sixth position in the list of 2026's highest grossers worldwide, behind "Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge", "Jailer 2", "Drishyam 3: The Conclusion", "Border 2" and "Hanuman Ansh".
