While the first 10 days saw Jailer 2 smashing it in the box office, the last three days have witnessed a slowdown in collections both in India and abroad. Nevertheless, the action comedy is set to cross ₹500 crore in the India box office.

Till 9 pm on Day 14, the Rajinikanth starrer has raked in ₹492.13 crore in gross domestic collection, reports Sacnilk. The net domestic earnings stood at ₹420.42 crore, as per shows tracked by Sacnilk.

On Day 14, Jailer 2 netted ₹4.77 crore from 9,133 shows till 9 pm, according to Sacnilk. This is the lowest daily net collection recorded by the movie in its two-week run.

The Nelson Dilipkumar directorial minted ₹59.7 crore on its opening day, the highest daily figure for the action comedy. It was followed by ₹37.1 crore on Day 2, ₹47.25 crore on Day 3 and ₹55.85 crore on Day 4.

The first weekend momentum continued during the following weekdays, thanks to Dussehra holidays. On Day 5, Jailer 2 bagged ₹42.35 crore while on Day 6, it collected another ₹46.8 crore.

The rest of the week maintained double digit collection in net domestic business. The movie earned ₹28.15 crore on Day 7, followed by ₹17.15 crore on Day 8 and ₹14.5 crore on Day 9. Coming to the second weekend, the figures bounced back once again, with Saturday bringing in ₹24.15 crore and Sunday minting ₹25.7 crore.

The sharp fall to single-digit crores marked the following week days. Jailer 2 collected ₹9.45 crore on Day 12 and ₹7.5 crore on Day 13.

While this could continue on Thursday and Friday, experts feel that the third weekend could see a rush once again. And it is just a matter of days for Jailer 2 to cross the ₹500 crore psychological mark. While the movie has already become the highest grossing Tamil movie worldwide, it has to beat Rajinikanth starrer 2.0's gross collection of ₹519.65 crore to become the highest Tamil grosser in India.
