Netflix has officially renewed "The Gentlemen" for Season 3, with filming already in progress in the UK and Morocco. The early renewal, announced shortly before Season 2 premiered in September 2026, reflects the streaming platform’s confidence in the crime drama created by Guy Ritchie. The new season will feature eight episodes, each running for around 60 minutes.
Although Netflix has not confirmed an official release date, Season 3 could arrive in January 2028. This estimate is based on the production timeline of the previous season. Filming for Season 2 began in May 2025, and the show premiered in September 2026, around 15 months later. If the third season follows a similar schedule, viewers could expect its return in early 2028.
Season 3 will introduce several well-known actors, including Robert Carlyle ("Trainspotting"), Elijah Wood ("The Lord of the Rings"), Orlando Bloom ("Kingdom of Heaven"), Dexter Fletcher ("Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels"), Bruna Marquezine ("Blue Beetle"), Ed Speleers ("You"), Saffron Burrows ("The Bank Job"), Philip Arditti ("The Day of the Jackal") and Bugzy Malone ("Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre"). Their addition brings fresh talent to the expanding crime drama.
Theo James will return as Eddie Horniman, alongside Kaya Scodelario as Susie Glass. Other returning cast members include Ray Winstone, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones, Jasmine Blackborow, Harry Goodwins, Benjamin Clementine and Maya Jama.
However, not everyone will return. Daniel Ings, who plays Eddie’s unpredictable brother Freddy Horniman, is leaving the series and will not appear in the new season. Despite online speculation about a possible acting comeback, Meghan Markle isn’t appearing.
The upcoming season will take Eddie and Susie into a much bigger and more dangerous world. After the events of Season 2, the pair will move beyond their criminal operations on British estates and attempt to build a large casino empire in the Middle East.
This ambitious business venture is expected to bring new enemies, international threats and more serious consequences for their criminal activities. Their growing ambitions could also put enormous pressure on their partnership.
Guy Ritchie has indicated that the series is expanding in scale, with greater ambition and more significant consequences for its characters.
