"Ranabaali", starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, has collected ₹36.90 crore worldwide during its opening weekend. The period action drama, released in theatres on October 16, 2026, completed its first three days with a steady but relatively modest box office performance.

According to the reported figures from Sacnilk, the film earned ₹24.05 crore in India net collections and ₹28 crore in India gross collections over its first three days. Its overseas gross collection reached ₹8.90 crore, taking the worldwide total to ₹36.90 crore.

On Sunday, the film collected ₹7.50 crore in domestic net revenue, a mere 2.7% surge from Saturday’s ₹7.30 crore, from 2,302 shows nationwide.

Despite the slight improvement on Sunday, the film’s opening day remained its biggest day at the box office. It netted ₹9.25 crore in India on Friday. The figures suggest the film has maintained some audience interest over the weekend, although its daily earnings have remained below its opening-day total.

Compared with Vijay Deverakonda’s earlier releases, "Ranabaali" has had a relatively slow start. Its three-day India net collection of ₹24.05 crore falls short of the opening-weekend figures achieved by several of his major films, like "Kingdom" and "Kushi".

"Kingdom", released in 2025, collected around ₹41 crore in its first three days, while "Kushi" (2023) earned ₹36.15 crore. "Liger" (2022), despite a strong opening of ₹15.95 crore on its first day, collected ₹33.12 crore over its opening weekend before suffering a sharp decline.

"Ranabaali" is, however, doing slightly better than Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s "Dear Comrade" in raw numbers, though both followed a similarly sluggish weekend pattern. Driven by higher ticket prices and a broader multi-language release, "Ranabaali" has pulled ahead in its first three days. However, neither film pulled off the explosive opening expected from their pairing.

However, while "Ranabaali" wins on paper, its victory is muted by a massive production budget. "Dear Comrade" failed to recover its ₹34.60 crore theatrical rights investment; "Ranabaali" faces an even higher break-even target and requires a strong upcoming week to avoid a similar fate, considering its estimated budget of over ₹100 crore.

Among the challenges facing "Ranabaali" are the mixed reviews and competition from Rajinikanth's "Jailer 2". So, the former will need stronger audience support to pull through. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film is yet to open wide in other regional territories like Kerala where it was initially expected to release on the same day, but reported distribution woes prompted a last-minute postponement.
