Vijay Sethupathi's period drama Baththa added another ₹0.44 crore to its collection on Wednesday. It took the Tamil drama's total India gross collections to ₹15.30 crore, box office data tracking website Sacnilk said.

"As of Day 7, Baththa is currently running across 640 shows and has collected a net of ₹0.44 Cr Live today. This brings total India gross collections to ₹15.30 Cr and total India net to ₹13.19 Cr so far, with India final collections yet to be reported," Sacnilk's latest update from Wednesday afternoon revealed.

On the day of its release (October 1, Thursday), Baththa earned ₹1.50 crore after having 1,337 shows. The earnings grew to ₹2.70 crore across 1,187 shows on Day 2, since it was a public holiday.

Gandhi Jayanti was followed by the weekend, and its collection witnessed a further increase on Saturday (October 3), managing ₹2.75 crore. On Sunday, its collection peaked, managing ₹3.10 crore from 1,290 shows.

On Day 5 (Monday), the Balaji Tharaneetharan directorial's earnings dropped to ₹1.30 crore across 1,214 shows, before registering a slight rise on Day 6 (October 6) to ₹1.40 crore.

Compared with Vijay Sethupathi’s biggest recent successes, however, Baththa  is currently performing at a more moderate level. Its first two days brought in around ₹4.20 crore net, well below his biggest hit Maharaja, which earned ₹11.95 crore during the same period. Viduthalai Part 2, in which Sethupathi played a parallel lead, also opened much higher at around ₹16 crore net in its first two days.
