"Drishyam 3: The Conclusion" has delivered the biggest opening day of Ajay Devgn’s career, earning a huge ₹95.10 crore worldwide on its first day. The suspense thriller was released on October 2, 2026, and attracted a strong response from audiences, especially in India. However, despite its massive opening, the film narrowly missed the ₹100 crore mark for a single-day worldwide gross.
As per trade portal Sacnilk, the film, written and directed by Abhishek Pathak, recorded ₹66.75 crore in net earnings in India and ₹80.10 crore in gross earnings. Overseas markets contributed around ₹15 crore, or more than $1.5 million, taking the worldwide total to ₹95.10 crore.
The opening was far bigger than those of the earlier Hindi films in the franchise. "Drishyam", released in 2015, opened with ₹5.85 crore net, while "Drishyam 2" began with ₹15.38 crore net and ₹18.15 crore gross. The third film has therefore set a new benchmark for the Hindi series.
The film also broke Ajay Devgn’s previous personal opening-day records. Its ₹66.75 crore domestic net collection topped the ₹43.70 crore earned by "Singham Again", ₹32.09 crore by "Singham Returns", and ₹30.14 crore by "Golmaal Again". Based on the figures provided, "Drishyam 3: The Conclusion" recorded the third-highest opening day for a Hindi film, behind "Dhurandhar 2" and "Jawan".
The Hindi film, which presents a completely different storyline, also performed strongly compared with the Malayalam "Drishyam 3", starring Mohanlal. The Malayalam version, written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, was released on May 21, 2026, several months before the Hindi finale.
On its first day, the Malayalam film earned ₹15.85 crore net in India and ₹18.37 crore gross. It also earned ₹25 crore overseas, giving it a worldwide gross of ₹43.37 crore. By comparison, the Hindi version earned ₹66.75 crore net in India, ₹80.10 crore gross domestically, and ₹15 crore overseas.
The two versions also performed differently internationally. The Malayalam film earned ₹10 crore more overseas on its opening day, showing strong appeal among international audiences. The Hindi version, however, benefited from a much larger domestic release, with 15,759 shows compared with 5,506 for the Malayalam film.
Overall, the Hindi "Drishyam 3" recorded more than double the Malayalam film’s worldwide opening-day gross, driven largely by its exceptional performance in the Indian market.
