Nani-starrer "The Paradise" has crossed the Rs 98 crore mark worldwide within two days of its theatrical release. The film opened with Rs 34.65 crore net in India on Day 1, with an overall occupancy of 49.3% across 9732 shows. India gross stood at Rs 54.90 crore, while overseas gross was Rs 22 crore, bringing the worldwide total to Rs 76.90 crore.
However, the film faced a considerable drop on its second day. "The Paradise" collected Rs 14.90 crore net in India on Friday, registering a 57% decline from its opening day collection. There was a recorded occupancy of 32.8% across 7049 shows. Despite the drop, the film added Rs 4 crore from the overseas market on Day 2, taking the total overseas gross to Rs 26 crore.
After two days, "The Paradise" had minted Rs 61.15 crore in India net and Rs 72.50 crore in India gross. Its worldwide gross stood at Rs 98.50 crore.
Currently, "The Paradise" has earned Rs 1.53 crore India net on Day 3 from 1398 shows, with an occupancy of 20%. The final collection of the day is yet to be recorded.
With the live Day 3 earnings included, "The Paradise" has so far collected Rs 62.68 crore India net and Rs 74.31 crore India gross. The final Saturday collection and updated worldwide total are yet to be reported.
"Dasara", the previous collaboration of Nani and Srikanth Odela, collected an estimated Rs 118.50 to Rs 121 crore during its theatrical run. It collected Rs 45.05 crore net in India in its first three days, while "The Paradise" has already reached Rs 62.68 crore net in India by the ongoing Day 3. This puts "The Paradise" much ahead of the three-day India net total of "Dasara", even though the Day 3 collections are yet to be finalised.
