In just 34 days, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit (BKU), which is already the highest grosser in Kerala box office, became the first Malayalam movie to cross ₹150 crore in gross collection in the state. It has earned more than ₹152 crore so far.
Previously, this record was held by Vaazha II with an estimated ₹129.54 crore. It is followed by Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra at ₹121.95 crore, Thudarum at ₹118.9 crore and 2018 at ₹89.20 crore.
The total Indian gross collection of Bethlehem Kudumba Unit stands at ₹187.3 crore while the net domestic earnings is ₹160.44 crore.
The highest single day collection of the Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju romantic comedy was on Day 10, which was August 30, bagging ₹10.4 crore.
In the first week, BKU amassed ₹52.3 crore while in the second week, it garnered ₹49.85 crore. In the third week, it raked in ₹33.3 crore, followed by another ₹16.75 crore in the fourth week.
The Girish AD directorial has minted ₹324.14 crore in the global box office, beating Lokah's lifetime collections of ₹302 crore. Lokah took 40 days to surpass ₹300 crore while BKU entered the ₹300 crore club in just 24 days.
In overseas screens, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has grossed ₹137.45 crore, as per latest figures.
