Actor Soori's "Mandaadi" continued its strong run at the box office on Day 5, collecting ₹11.25 crore net in India from 3,950 shows. With this, the film’s total India gross collection has reached ₹53.63 crore, while its India net stands at ₹45.85 crore. The film also performed steadily overseas, earning ₹1.25 crore on Day 5 and taking its total overseas gross to ₹8.75 crore.
As a result, "Mandaadi" has now reached a worldwide gross of ₹62.38 crore in just five days, showed the figures tracked by Sacnilk.
Made on a reported budget of ₹75 crore, the film is performing on a much larger scale than a typical mid-budget release. Its Day 5 domestic gross of ₹13.15 crore and worldwide total of ₹62.38 crore put it comfortably ahead of other films operating in a similar budget range.
One of the biggest highlights is the growth in Soori’s box-office standing. His previous mid-budget success, "Garudan", earned around ₹3.50 crore gross on its fifth day. "Mandaadi" has collected nearly four times that amount on its first Monday. Its wider multi-language release and larger production scale appear to have helped attract a much bigger audience.
The film also showed impressive weekday stability. "Mandaadi" recorded 53% overall occupancy on Monday, with only a 13.8% drop from Sunday. That is a strong hold for a first weekday. Mid-budget films often settle at around ₹1–2 crore on weekdays, but "Mandaadi" is showing the kind of sustained demand usually associated with major commercial releases.
The film’s pace is also notable. While sleeper hits such as "Lubber Pandhu" took weeks to cross the ₹40 crore mark, "Mandaadi" passed the ₹60 crore worldwide milestone within five days, putting it on course for a strong theatrical recovery.
Meanwhile, "Sardar 2", starring Karthi, has struggled at the box office. "Mandaadi" is reportedly more than 245% ahead in total collections. With weaker audience word-of-mouth for "Sardar 2" and positive reactions for the action-packed storyline of "Mandaadi", several theatres are reportedly shifting screens toward Soori’s film.
