The movie has climbed the rankings quickly. With a worldwide gross of ₹246.39 crore by Day 9, it has overtaken "Dhamaal 4", which earned ₹231.6 crore, to become the fourth-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2026.

Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, who also worked on the original Prime Video series of the same name, the witnessed a powerful opening, particularly in mass-market regions such as Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. It earned ₹25.15 crore on Friday, ₹32.78 crore on Saturday and ₹36 crore on Sunday.

After crossing ₹100 crore net in India by Day 4, the film remained steady during the weekdays. Its ₹9.50 crore collection on the second Friday was followed by a strong ₹13.50 crore on Saturday, with occupancy rising to 37%.

The sharp second-Saturday growth is naturally attributed to strong word-of-mouth and makes "Mirzapur: The Movie" a notable example of a successful transition from OTT to theatres.
