Dulquer Salmaan’s fantasy action thriller "I’m Game" saw a sharp drop in box office collections on its first Monday (Day 5). The film earned a net ₹1.50 crore in India from 2,610 shows, marking a 65.5% decline from Sunday’s ₹4.35 crore net collection, according to data from Sacnilk.
With the Day 5 earnings added, "I’m Game" has collected ₹20.50 crore net and ₹23.95 crore gross in India so far. The film also earned ₹0.75 crore from overseas markets on Day 5, taking its overseas gross total to ₹17.25 crore. Its worldwide gross collection now stands at ₹41.20 crore.
The Malayalam version remained the biggest contributor to the film’s domestic earnings. It collected ₹1.07 crore from 1,224 shows, with an occupancy rate of 20%. The Telugu version earned ₹0.25 crore from 673 shows at 18% occupancy, while the Tamil version collected ₹0.17 crore from 626 shows at 14% occupancy.
The steep fall in collections was also linked to a reduction in the number of shows. The film had 2,910 shows on Sunday, compared with 2,610 on Monday. Overall theatre occupancy also dropped sharply, falling from 36.6% to 17.7%.
Despite the Monday decline, "I’m Game" has performed better than Salmaan’s 2023 Malayalam film "King of Kotha" during the early days of its run. In its first three days, "I’m Game" collected ₹14.45 crore net in India, compared with ₹11.50 crore for "King of Kotha".
However, it remains well behind "Lucky Baskhar". By Day 5, the 2024 Telugu film had earned ₹32.24 crore net in India and ₹48.50 crore worldwide, helped by strong word of mouth across multiple languages.
