On Day 6, "Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups" collected an estimated ₹7.45 crore net in India from around 13,400 shows. This took the Yash-starrer's total India net collection to ₹221.55 crore, while its India gross collection reached ₹264.80 crore. Overseas, the film added another ₹2 crore on Day 6, taking its overseas gross total to ₹39.25 crore. Combining these numbers, the worldwide gross of “Toxic" has reached ₹304.05 crore, as per figures from Sacnilk.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas from a script she co-wrote with Yash, the film had a spectacular opening, collecting ₹140.75 crore worldwide on its first day. However, it has struggled to maintain that momentum in the following days. Mixed audience reactions and a largely unfavourable critical response appear to have contributed to a sharp drop during the weekdays. Although the film benefited greatly from its initial five-day holiday period, its single-digit net collection on the first Monday is a warning sign for its long-term box office performance.
This is particularly important because "Toxic" was reportedly made on a very large budget of around ₹300–₹500 crore. To recover such a high production cost and become fully successful financially, the film will need a strong and sustained run in India over the coming weeks.
The original Kannada version of "Toxic" has earned ₹55.40 crore net in its first six days. Compared with the six-day domestic performance of the top Kannada blockbusters, the film is ahead of several major standalone hits but remains well behind some of the biggest sequels and franchise films.
As of Day 6, "Toxic" ranks fourth among the highest-grossing Kannada films in India. It surpassed Yash’s "K.G.F: Chapter 1", which ended its theatrical run with ₹185.24 crore net, during its first week. "Toxic" has also become only the fourth Kannada film to enter the ₹200 crore domestic net club.
However, moving higher on the list will be difficult. The film suffered a steep 67.6% drop on Monday. To overtake Kantara (₹309.64 crore net) and reach third place, "Toxic" needs another ₹88.09 crore from India. Given its current weekday trend, reaching the top three now looks like a major challenge.
