Ajay Devgn is all set to return as Vijay Salgaonkar for what is being titled the closing chapter of the “Drishyam” franchise. The third movie has been officially titled “Drishyam: The Conclusion” and announced for a theatrical release on October 2, 2026.

The first poster of the film was revealed on Monday by Ajay Devgn, confirming his return as Vijay, an ordinary man who would go to extraordinary lengths to protect his family. The poster carries the line, “Mera Sach, Mera Sahi, Sirf Meri Family Hai”, which underlines his determination to defend his family at any given cost.

Fans hold a special significance for this date as October two has been etched into the collective memory of the audience due to Vijay’s elaborate alibi involving a family trip and a satsung. With “Drishyam: The Conclusion” now arriving on October 2, the franchise is all set to bring his story full circle.

Directed by Abhishek Pathak, who also directed the 2022 “Drishyam 2”, the upcoming film is expected to feature the return of familiar faces including Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor and Prakash Raj.

However, while the Hindi franchise is preparing for a conclusion, the story is far from over in Malayalam. The original Drishyam franchise, created by director Jeethu Joseph and starring Mohanlal as Georgekutty, is set to continue with a fourth instalment. Producer Antony Perumbavoor recently confirmed that “Drishyam 4” will be made, with Mohanlal expected to return as the iconic Georgekutty.

The announcement comes after the success of “Drishyam 3” in Malayalam, once again highlighting how the franchise has taken different paths across languages. While Vijay Salgaonkar is preparing to bid goodbye to audiences with The Conclusion, Georgekutty’s story is set to continue.
