Megastar Chiranjeevi’s much-awaited 158th film, previously known as #Mega158, has officially been titled "Kaaka". The title and an action-packed promotional glimpse were unveiled on August 22, 2026, marking Chiranjeevi’s 71st birthday. The glimpse promises a mix of family emotion, mystery, and high-energy action.

"Kaaka" marks Chiranjeevi’s reunion with director Bobby Kolli after their successful collaboration on "Waltair Veerayya". Bobby is also known for directing Nandamuri Balakrishna’s hit "Daaku Maharaaj", and "Kaaka" is expected to be another family-driven major mass-action project in his filmography.

One of the biggest highlights of the glimpse is Chiranjeevi’s dual appearance. In the present-day portion, he plays K. Satyam, a friendly, ordinary middle-aged supervisor employed at Ammaji Aqua Industries in Ravulapalem. However, the teaser hints at a darker turn in the flashback portions, where Satyam appears as a younger, stylish and extremely dangerous man involved in intense gun action.

The glimpse also carries a strong dose of nostalgia. Music director S. Thaman has remixed the popular “Chiku Chiku Chelam” track from Chiranjeevi’s classic 1991 film "Gang Leader". The familiar tune, combined with a powerful background score, adds extra energy and swagger to the visuals.

Anaswara Rajan reportedly plays Chiranjeevi’s daughter, while Nivetha Pethuraj has an important role. Anaswara’s character is expected to be central to the emotional side of the story.

Production is moving quickly. After the film’s launch in May 2026, major shooting schedules had been completed in Pollachi and Hyderabad. Around 40 days of filming have already been completed, and Bobby Kolli has reportedly locked the final edit of the first half. The team is now preparing to shoot a large-scale action sequence planned as the interval block.

Produced by KVN Productions ("Jana Nayagan", "Toxic") on a grand scale, "Kaaka" is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on January 13, 2027, during the Sankranthi festival season.
