“Made in Korea” Season 2 will premiere on September 9, 2026, streaming worldwide on Disney+ and Hulu. The crime noir series will return for a six-episode final season, beginning with two episodes on launch day. After that, two episodes will be released every Wednesday, leading to the finale on September 23.

The new season takes place nine years after the events of Season 1. Baek Kitae has risen to deputy director of the Korean Central Intelligence Agency (KCIA) and has built a powerful drug trafficking network. His former enemy, prosecutor Jang Geonyoung, returns with a carefully planned revenge campaign. Their conflict unfolds against a backdrop of growing political unrest.

Hyun Bin returns as Baek Kitae, while Jung Woosung reprises his role as Jang Geonyoung. Woo Dohwan plays Kitae’s brother, Baek Kihyun. The supporting cast includes Seo Eun-soo, Won Ji-an, Jung Sung-il, and Roh Jae-won. The series is written by Park Eun-kyo and directed by Woo Min-ho.

The quick arrival of Season 2 is the result of an unusual production strategy. Work on the second season began before the first season had even premiered. Disney+ reportedly approved the continuation early owing to its strong confidence in the project, allowing the production team to work on both seasons without a long break.

Per reports, casting was completed in February 2024, when Woo Dohwan joined Hyun Bin and Jung Woosung. Filming continued through late 2024 and into mid-2025. The crew then moved directly into production on the final six episodes. Disney+ officially announced the early renewal in November 2025.

While Season 1 premiered globally in December 2025 and January 2026, production on Season 2 continued. By August 2026, the teaser trailer had launched and post-production was complete, setting the stage for the final chapter.
