"Vishwanath and Sons" continued its impressive box office run on Day 2, showing strong growth in both India and overseas markets. The film collected ₹22.25 crore net in India on its second day from 5,157 shows. This marks a 45% increase over its Day 1 net collection of ₹15.35 crore, per Sacnilk's box office data.
With the Day 2 performance, the film’s total India gross collection has reached ₹43.47 crore, while its India net collection stands at ₹37.60 crore after two days. The sharp rise in collections suggests that the film is benefiting from positive audience word-of-mouth and strong demand after its opening day.
The film has also performed strongly in international markets. "Vishwanath and Sons" collected ₹19 crore overseas on Day 2, taking its total overseas gross to ₹33 crore. As a result, the film’s worldwide gross has reached an impressive ₹76.47 crore in just two days. Overseas markets have contributed around 43% of the film’s worldwide earnings so far, highlighting its strong appeal beyond India.
Among the different language versions, the Tamil version is leading the domestic box office. It has contributed ₹22.90 crore net to the film’s total India net collection of ₹37.60 crore over the first two days. The Telugu version has also delivered a strong performance, earning ₹14.50 crore net. It has recorded notably higher theatre occupancy percentages on both days, indicating strong audience interest.
The film has also achieved an important milestone in Suriya’s career. "Vishwanath and Sons" has recorded the second-highest opening day of his career. His previous best remains "Retro", which collected ₹19.25 crore net on Day 1 in 2025.
Notably, "Karuppu", directed by RJ Balaji, had a similar opening of around ₹15.15–15.50 crore net. However, it went on to enjoy excellent long-term momentum and eventually earned close to ₹200 crore net in India.
With its strong 45% growth on Day 2, "Vishwanath and Sons" has made a promising start and will be aiming to maintain this momentum over the coming days.
