The movie opened on Thursday with a massive Rs 60.60 crore net, followed by a strong Rs 49.35 crore net on Friday, as per data tracked by Sacnilk. Despite the usual drop after opening day, the film maintained excellent collections, showing strong audience interest across the country. It was screened in 16,902 shows, with high occupancy in both multiplexes and single-screen theatres.
The film has also set a new benchmark for the Spider-Man franchise in India. In only 48 hours, "Brand New Day" has earned more than the lifetime collections of earlier Spider-Man films. For comparison, "Spider-Man: No Way Home" collected Rs 53.04 crore net in its first two days, while "Spider-Man: Far From Home" finished its entire run with Rs 86 crore net. "Spider-Man: Homecoming" ended its lifetime run at Rs 58 crore net.
The film has also overtaken some of Hollywood's biggest blockbusters. With its two-day total of Rs 109.95 crore net, "Brand New Day" has surpassed "Avengers: Endgame", which earned Rs 104.20 crore net in its first two days. It has also comfortably outperformed "Avatar: The Way of Water" (Rs 80.50 crore) and "Spider-Man: No Way Home" (Rs 53.04 crore) over the same period.
Trade experts believe the film still has plenty of momentum heading into the weekend. Advance bookings for Saturday and Sunday remain very strong, with premium formats and family audiences expected to boost collections further.
Current projections suggest the film could earn about Rs 45–50 crore net on Saturday and Rs 52–55 crore net on Sunday. If these estimates hold, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is expected to finish its extended four-day opening weekend with Rs 205–215 crore net (over Rs 250 crore gross), making it the biggest opening weekend ever for an international film in India.
The film's two-day total has also crossed the Rs 106.85 crore net earned by "Jawan" in its first two days, highlighting just how extraordinary this opening has been.
