Fans of Prime Video's "Reacher" have something to get excited about. Season 4 won't take long, as the streamer has announced an official date. The Alan Ritchson-fronted action thriller series will premiere on August 12, 2026. Interestingly, the first three episodes are expected to drop on the first day, followed by one episode every week, until the finale on September 16.
The new season, once again created by Nick Santora, is an adaptation of bestselling author Lee Child’s 13th novel, "Gone Tomorrow", which revolves around a dangerous geopolitical conspiracy that begins on a New York subway train on which Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) is travelling. Season 1 was based on Lee Child's first Reacher book, "Killing Floor", Season 2 on book 11, "Bad Luck and Trouble", and Season 3 on book 7, "Persuader".
As per the official synopsis, Reacher notices a subway passenger exhibiting all the textbook behavioural signs of a suicide bomber. When he attempts to intervene, the confrontation goes horribly wrong, leading to an immediate death that pulls Reacher into the sights of the NYPD and federal agencies. What looked like a localised threat unravels into a massive, deadly game involving Washington politicians, foreign operatives, and elite shadow assassins.
As soon as the Season 4 finale drops, Prime Video will release the eight-episode spinoff series "Neagley" based on the female character who was a former colleague of Reacher. Additionally, "Reacher" has been renewed for a fifth season.
Season 4's other cast members include Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette as a small-town policeman, Jacob Merrick, Sydelle Noel as Tamara Green, and a sharp Philadelphia police detective. The Indonesian singing duo Agnez Mo & Anggun play the characters Lila Hoth and her mother, Amisha Hoth. They are central figures in the mystery, replacing the book's original Russian characters. Kevin Corrigan plays freelance journalist Russell Plum (or Detective Docherty).
