Ram Charan's movie "Peddi" has grossed Rs 233 crore worldwide, officially surpassing "Rangasthalam" to become his highest-grossing solo hit of all time. The sports drama, directed by Buchi Babu Sana and starring Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, successfully crossed the Rs 150 crore net mark in India (Rs 157.15 crore) after a four-day theatrical run, according to Sacnilk's box office figures.

"Rangasthalam", which earned around Rs 216 crore worldwide, stood as Ram Charan's highest-grossing solo film for over eight years until "Peddi" outperformed it. It was the first traditional, non-pan-Indian Telugu film to cross the prestigious Rs 200 crore milestone globally.

"Peddi" has demonstrated exceptional performance over the four-day opening weekend. The film achieved a notable 10.6% growth in domestic net earnings on Day 4, with collections surging to Rs 31.90 crore from Day 3's Rs 28.85 crore, from 9,068 shows.

This kind of rare positive trajectory indicates exceptionally strong weekday hold and growing audience demand. This took the domestic gross to Rs 187.02 crore. The total from international markets stands at Rs 46 crore so far, contributing to the Rs 233 crore cumulative global haul.

Nationally, the movie registered an average occupancy rate of 41.5% on Day 4, and serves as a major commercial comeback for lead actor Ram Charan following his globally acclaimed role in "RRR", in which he shared the screen with NTR Jr.

It remains to be seen if "Peddi" will demonstrate the same momentum on the crucial Monday test. Most films experience a significant drop on Monday, with the rare recent exception of Suriya's big-budget Tamil film "Karuppu" and Arjun Sarja's mid-budget hit "Blast".
