Arjun Sarja starrer Blast is having a blast at the box office, having completed a week in theatres. The Tamil martial arts movie directed by debutant Subash K. Raj was released on May 28.

Blast netted ₹1.45 crore till 7 pm on Day 7, reports Sacnilk. This includes ₹1.26 crore from Tamil version and ₹19 lakh from Telugu. The total net domestic collection in the first week was recorded at ₹22.45 crore.

The gross domestic collection crossed the ₹25 crore mark. By the end of the day, the gross earnings from Indian theatres is expected to touch ₹26 crore.

The worldwide box office collection of Blast crossed ₹33.48 crore on Day 7. This includes around ₹7.42 crore earnings from overseas screens.

Produced by AGS Entertainment with a budget of ₹18 crore, Blast opened with ₹1.25 crore in net domestic collection. It improved the collections to ₹2.15 crore on Day while surged further during the weekend. On Saturday, the movie raked in ₹4.55 crore while on Sunday, it minted ₹6 crore. Blast achieved break-even within the first four days of release.

The earnings dropped during the week days, but managed to do better than the first two days. Day 5 saw a collection of ₹3.6 crore and Day 6 witnessed ₹3.45 crore in earnings.

Besides Arjun, stars including Abhirami and Preity Mukhundhan are also playing key roles in Blast. Other cast include Arjun Chidambaram, Dileepan, Bala Hasan, John Kokken, Ramesh Narayan and more.
