Shane Nigam's latest Malayalam film "Dridam" will be hitting the streaming space a little over a month after its theatrical release. Released on May 8, the investigative thriller, directed by debutant Martin Joseph, will have its OTT release on June 12, 2026 on JioHotstar.

Written by Jomon John and Linto Devasia, "Dridam" has Shane Nigam playing a young Sub-Inspector who takes charge in a new station in a previously quiet and crime-free place. However, a short while after he assumes his new responsibilities, a series of crimes that include a robbery and murder, upset the fabric of the small town.

Jeethu Joseph, the director of the three "Drishyam" films, co-produced the movie under his banner Bed Time Stories alongside Mukesh R. Mehta and C.V. Sarathi under the banner E4 Experiments. Other cast members include Shobi Thilakan, Kottayam Ramesh, Krishna Prabha, Nandan Unni, Mathew Varghese, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, and Dinesh Prabhakar.

Shot by cinematographer P.M. Unnikrishnan and edited by V.S. Vinayak, "Dridam" has music by Sreerag Saji.

In its review of the film, THE WEEK wrote: '"Dridam' is a showcase for one of Shane's finest performances. The actor, who is often associated with a certain kind of youngster for a long time, doesn't look awkward in khaki. He looks serious. He looks no-nonsense. He looks mature." It also added that the film doesn't follow the template of cop thrillers made by other filmmakers like Martin Prakkat or Shahi Kabir, describing it as a film whose sensibilities lie "somewhere between a Shahi Kabir film and a Jeethu Joseph film."
