"Bhooth Bangla" saw its lowest drop in daily collections on its fourth Monday compared to the third Monday's earnings. But such a decline is natural for a film that's already completed a 25-day run, and a drop from Rs 4 crore on the fourth Sunday to Rs 1.35 crore on the 25th day is still a decent number at a time when even some major superstar-driven big-budget films fail to maintain a healthy number after the opening weekend.
After 25 days, "Bhooth Bangla" has reached a worldwide gross of Rs 243.12 crore. The film, which marked the highly anticipated reunion of Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan after a long hiatus, earned Rs 160.10 crore in net domestic total; the domestic gross collection stands at Rs 189.97 crore. The overseas collection comes up to roughly Rs 53.15 crore.
In terms of late-stage longevity, the film has outperformed several major horror-comedy predecessors such as "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" and "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3" on their respective 25th days. Despite a 66.3% drop from its fourth Sunday, the film still holds over 4,000 shows across India, indicating strong continued interest.
"Bhooth Bangla" currently ranks as the fourth highest-grossing Indian horror-comedy film of all time globally. The film's steady weekday earnings suggest it will likely approach the Rs 250 crore worldwide milestone before the end of its fourth week.
Globally, the Rs 243.12 crore gross places "Bhooth Bangla" at 8th position among the highest-grossing Akshay Kumar movies, having recently surpassed his other major hits, like "Airlift" (Rs 228 crore) and "OMG 2" (Rs 221 crore). However, it still trails behind "Mission Mangal", "Housefull 4", and "Sooryavanshi" in the list.
