Despite a steep drop in net collections — from Rs 10 crore on opening day to Rs 0.90 crore on Day 10 — the latest Mammootty-Mohanlal reunion "Patriot" is maintaining a steady pace at the domestic box office. Though the daily numbers have dropped to below Rs 1 crore after the first week, the earnings have maintained a steady pace for the last four days.

The Mahesh Narayanan directorial's India net collections currently stand at Rs 29.41 crore, while the India gross has been registered at Rs 34.15 crore. The worldwide total now stands at Rs 75.15 crore, as per box office tracker Sacnilk.

The collections also show that the film has performed far better overseas with Rs 41.00 crore, which currently accounts for around 54% of its total global gross.

The Malayalam version continues to be the primary revenue contributor, accounting for nearly the entire domestic collection.

But if the film’s reported Rs 125 crore budget and the presence of a stellar ensemble cast are taken into account, the current performance is considered unhealthy; it is already being regarded as a major box office considering that it's only been 10 days, and the reported daily figures are below the 1 crore mark. While a Rs 75.15 crore worldwide gross looks decent in isolation, it covers only about 60% of the total budget after 10 days, leaving a massive deficit for theatrical recovery.

The film's principal cast comprises Mammootty, Mohanlal, Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Rajiv Menon, Nayanthara, Darshana Rajendran, and Revathi, among others. It marks yet another reunion of Mohanlal and Mammootty after 13 years.
