Box office: Why 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' is actually a bigger success than 'Pushpa 2' and 'Baahubali 2' after nearly four weeks
In India, "Pushpa 2" still wears the crown, followed by "Dhurandhar 2" and "Baahubali 2". The Allu Arjun-fronted Sukumar directorial collected Rs 1,234.10 crore in India net alone, whereas the Aditya Dhar directorial earned only Rs 1,088.77 crore

On the fourth Monday, Ranveer Singh's "Dhurandhar The Revenge" took a significant dip after performing well on the fourth Sunday. Sacnilk box office analysis showed a 64.1% drop with a Rs 5.20 crore net gross compared to the fourth Sunday's Rs 14.50 crore.
This is the lowest figure yet registered by the spy blockbuster directed by Aditya Dhar. It's the lowest since the fourth Friday numbers (Rs 7.00 crore). But 5.20 crore on the fourth Monday — from 10, 286 shows — is still a healthy number when we remember that this is the number that some modest-budgeted hits do normally on its opening week.
The dip is natural given that it's a weekday and that the film has already done a major chunk of its business in the first three weeks, earning a massive sum in front-loaded earnings.
The India total gross number now stands at Rs 1,303.37 crore, which is higher than the lifetime gross of "Dhurandhar: Part 1" and total India net numbers is at Rs 1,088.62 crore so far.
With the overseas total earnings at Rs 415.25 crore, the global gross has now crossed the 1700 crore mark (in Rs), with an approximate figure of Rs 1,718.62 crore. As of now, it's trailing behind the lifetime gross of "Pushpa 2" (Rs 1,742 crore) and "Baahubali 2" (Rs 1,788 crore).
But here's something interesting we have to take into consideration: "Pushpa 2" and "Baahubali 2" had the advantage of Gulf and China releases. "Dhurandhar 2", on the other hand, didn't. When we omit the Gulf and China collection from the global collection of those two films, however, "Dhurandhar 2" is a bigger success because its current lifetime gross is higher than that of those two films. When the Gulf and China numbers are excluded, "Pushpa 2" has earned only Rs 1,685 crore and "Baahubali 2" has earned only Rs 1,615 crore.
However, when it comes to the India net totals, "Pushpa 2" still rules, with "Dhurandhar 2" coming second, followed by "Baahubali 2". The Allu Arjun-fronted Sukumar directorial collected Rs 1,234.10 crore in India net alone, whereas the Aditya Dhar directorial earned only Rs 1,088.77 crore and the Rajamouli-directed Prabhas-starrer Rs 1,030.40 crore.
But, it's only the 27th day, and "Dhurandhar 2" could topple "Pushpa 2" in terms of net earnings if a huge jump in numbers occurs in the coming weeks. It would be unlikely if it continues its run in the following weeks with a 5 crore (or less) daily figure. Anything could happen if it continues to remain in many theatres for at least a month or more, even with reduced shows.
In its first week, "Dhurandhar 2" collected Rs 674.17 crore, closely rivaling "Pushpa 2"’s first-week haul of Rs 725.80 crore.
"Dhurandhar 2" set a new benchmark by collecting Rs 53.70 crore on its second Saturday, surpassing the Rs 46.50 crore earned by "Pushpa 2" on the same day.
It's now the fastest Indian film to hit the 1700-crore mark worldwide (in 25 days) and the fastest Indian film to hit the 1000-crore mark in India net earnings (in 24 days).
Comparatively, "Pushpa 2" took 28 days to achieve the 1700-crore milestone and "Baahubali 2" took over 30 days to hit the same mark.
