Something unique seems to be coming our way. The official trailer for Huma Qureshi-starrer "Baby Do Die Do" was dropped on Monday, June 22, 2026. Touted as an action thriller, the first glimpse footage presents Qureshi as India's first "desi hitwoman" — a deaf and mute contract killer named Baby who navigates the chaotic underworld of Mumbai.
The film, which comes from director Nachiket Samant, is slated for theatrical release on July 3, 2026. It is produced by Saqib Saleem under the Saleem Siblings production banner.
Other principal cast members include Sikander Kher, Chunky Pandey, Seema Pahwa, Rachit Singh, and Vidya Malvade.
The 2-minute-22-second trailer reveals a twisted dark action-comedy which follows Baby, a silent killer who hides a dangerous past and executes her targets with a signature red umbrella that functions as a weapon. One scene shows her killing an old man in a crowded bus without anyone suspecting her involvement.
Nachiket Samant previously directed slice-of-life and comedy projects such as Gachchi (2017), Comedy Couple (2020), and Habaddi (2022).
Qureshi most recently starred in the legal comedy-drama "Jolly LLB 3", which was released in September 2025. She shared the screen with Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi.
Beyond "Jolly LLB 3" and Rajkummar Rao's "Maalik" (released in July 2025), Qureshi will appear in "Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups", headlined by Yash. Her co-stars comprise Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, and Rukmini Vasanth, among others. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the most anticipated gangster epic will hit theatres on August 26, 2026. She is also expected to return in Season 5 of "Maharani", the highly popular political drama series streaming on SonyLIV.
