Director Vamshi Paidipally, known for movies like "Varisu", "Brindavanam", and "Maharshi", is officially making his Bollywood debut, along with the confirmation that Salman Khan will headlined as main star, a speculation that has been doing the rounds for a while.
The makers are currently in the pre-production phase with filming expected to commence in April 2026.
Vamshi is now the first Telugu director to collaborate with Salman Khan. The actor had previously worked with Malayalam filmmaker Siddique (in the Hindi-language "Bodyguard") and Tamil filmmaker AR Murugadoss (in the Hindi-language "Sikandar").
Interestingly, Nayanthara's name has been attached to this project for a while. And so is Anil Kapoor's. However, there has been confirmation on their joining the movie yet. If she indeed signs the dotted line, this would mark her second Bollywood movie since her Hindi-language debut "Jawan". Moreover, it would also mark her second Hindi movie with a Khan after Shah Rukh Khan.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the yet-untitled project is an "action-packed entertainer with a strong emotional core. It is envisioned as a full-fledged commercial outing that presents Salman Khan in a space audiences strongly associate with him."
The report also says that the film will employ extensive visual effects and will be shot in multiple locations in India.
Salman Khan will be next seen in "Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace", earlier titled "Battle of Galwan". Nayanthara has the action thriller "Patriot", co-starring Malayalam biggest superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty, coming up in the last week of April.
