The makers of Ranbir Kapoor-starrer "Ramayana" has announced, on Rama Navami, the date for revealing a new glimpse. It will be presented at a grand event. Producer Namit Malhotra shared that the glimpse titled 'Rama' will be out on April 2, 2026 on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti.
While thanking fans of their "love, faith and patience," Malhotra shared the team's official announcement: "This is a story that belongs to all of us, and every step we take has been guided by a deep sense of responsibility, devotion, and care to bring our very own Ramayana to life in its truest spirit and scale with utmost sincerity. We look forward to sharing the next glimpse, 'Rama' on 2nd April, on the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. As we begin to showcase all these years of our effort through a grand launch."
A month ago, the team held their first-ever test screening of the movie in Los Angeles, USA for a select group of people which included viewers from different age groups. The initial reports are said to be leaning towards the positive with special praise for the film's massive scale and stunning visual effects apart from the rooted storytelling.
"Ramayana" is currently slated for release on Diwali 2026 and it is a two-part epic with the second part likely to release on Diwali 2027. The release window was confirmed again on Friday by Namit Malhotra, who is doing everything he can to ensure the best output.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, "Ramayana" features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram while Yash essays the character of Ravana. Sai Pallavi is enacting the iconic character of Sita with a host of other big stars also in the cast. Musical geniuses AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer are combining for the sound tracks and background scores of this magnum opus.
