"Dhurandhar: The Revenge" has done historic business worldwide, with a collection nearing Rs 240 crore. The overall worldwide gross includes the Rs 172.63 total gross from India alone. The reports indicate that the film is going to hit the ₹300 crore mark worldwide by the end of the weekend and cross Rs 200 crore in India as well. The overseas gross totals Rs 64 crore.

It has by now surprassed the opening day worldwide tally of other big-scale Indian movies like "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion", "Pathaan", "Jawan", "Stree 2", "Kalki 2898 AD", and "Dangal". However, it hasn't yet surpassed the opening day worldwide collection of "RRR" although it's in the same ballpark, with only about a dozen or so crore short of the Rajamouli movie. And it has failed to beat the total Day 1 worldwide gross of "Pushpa 2" (est. Rs 294 crore).

The Ranveer Singh-starrer earned Rs 90.58 crore on Day 1 and combined with the Rs 43 crore gross from the premiere shows on Wednesday, the total net domestic collection amounted to Rs 133.58 crore. More than 15 lakh tickets were sold in pre-sales, including for the paid previews on Wednesday.

The espionage thriller has released in more than 17,000 shows across multiple languages. The Hindi shows alone minted Rs 87.59 crore on Day 1, followed by Rs 1.89 crore in Telugu and Rs 0.95 crore in Tamil. Malayalam shows earned Rs 8 lakh and Kannada version collected Rs 7 lakh.

The record opening of Rs 172 crore in India makes "Dhurandhar 2 "stand tall when compared to the previous best of "Jawan", which opened with Rs 75 crore. "Animal" opened with Rs 64 crore, while "Pathaan" earned Rs 57 crore and "Stree 2" bagged Rs 54 crore on Day 1.

"Dhurandhar: The Revenge" has been given an A rating by the censor board. It has runtime of three hours and 49 minutes. The film is banned in Gulf nations and Pakistan. However, the A rating, the long runtime or the ban in several countries have not affected the box office momentum of the movie.
