The third instalment of the Aadu franchise, Aadu 3: One Last Ride - Part 1, has crossed Rs 10 crore in gross domestic collections in two days.

On Day 2, the Jayasurya starrer comedy fantasy collected Rs 4.56 crore in net collection as of 6 pm, reports Sacnilk. Overall, the movie saw 70 per cent occupancy in theatres.

On Day 1, Aadu 3 collected Rs 5.95 crore in net earnings nationally. This takes the total net domestic collection to Rs 10.51 crore, according to Sacnilk. The gross domestic collection was reported to be Rs 12.28 crore.

The Friday Films movie is running in 1,138 shows currently. In Kochi alone, there are 228 shows. It is followed by 222 shows in Thiruvananthapuram, 127 in Bengaluru, 112 in Kozhikode, 97 in Thrissur, 69 in Chennai, 63 in Alappuzha, 57 in Kollam and 33 in Kottayam. There are 21 shows in Hyderabad and 14 each in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai.

The morning shows saw a 43 per cent occupancy while afternoon shows saw 67 per cent seats filled up.

Aadu 3 received mixed response from critics but it has got positive response from fans. The Eid weekend is likely to influence the collections of the movie in its opening week.

Directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, Aadu 3 has retained the ensemble cast of the previous instalments. Besides Jayasurya, it also stars Saiju Kurup, Vinayakan, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Sunny Wayne, Bhagat Manuel, Vijay Babu and Aju Varghese. New faces in the movie include Alleya Bourne and Krishna Jeev.
