PVR INOX Pictures has announced that actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson's latest thriller "Fuze", from filmmaker David Mackenzie ("Hell or High Water", "Starred Up"), will be released across Indian theatres of the chain on April 24.

The film has been described as a "gripping story rooted in history, danger, and a race against time," with a  stellar ensemble that comprises Theo James (Netflix's "The Gentlemen"), Gugu Mbatha-Raw ("Belle"), and Sam Worthington ("Avatar").

The official synopsis: "When a World War II-era bomb is found in a construction site in a busy area of London, the authorities quickly spring into action, determined to save the throngs of innocent bystanders in the vicinity. Scripted by Ben Hopkins ("The Nine Lives of Tomas Katz"), 'Fuze' moves at a breakneck pace. As the tension mounts and time threatens to run out, it soon becomes clear that no one can truly be trusted."

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is known for his acclaimed performances in "Kick-Ass", "28 Years Later", and "Bullet Train", among others.

David Mackenzie, who is best known for the Academy Award-nominated "Hell or High Water", starring Chris Pine, Ben Foster, and Jeff Bridges, released "Relay" last year. The crime drama starred Riz Ahmed and Lily James. He has also worked with noted actors like Ewan McGregor in "Young Adam" and with Chris Pine again in the period action drama "The Outlaw King". His "Starred Up", starring Jack O' Connell is regarded as one of the finest prison dramas.
