Director Venky Atluri's next with director Venky Atluri ("Lucky Bhaskar") has a title. The makers have officially announced "Vishwanath and Sons" as the title. Sithara Entertainments, which commenced production of the anticipated project in May 2025, posted the announcement on their social media handles.
The film is expected to hit theatres in July.
Suriya, last seen in Karthik Subbaraj's "Retro", had shared that film was shot extensively in Hyderabad. Mamitha Baiju, last seen in "Dude" and is also part of Vijay's "Jana Nayagan", is the female lead, with Radhika Sarathkumar in an integral role, along with Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon.

'Vishwanath and Sons" has music by GV Prakash Kumar. The project also reunites Atluri with cinematographer Nimish Ravi, who also shot "Lucky Bhaskar". Naveen Nooli is the editor. Banglan ("Kantara: Chapter 1", "Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra") is the production designer.
What's Suriya's next release?
Suriya's immedidate upcoming release is "Karuppu", directed by RJ Balaji. The recently released teaser was packed with action-heavy moments, teasing that Suriya will appear in two different get-ups, one of a corporate guy and another of a black shirt and mundu-clad commoner, hinting at the actor playing a character with dual identities.
Touted as a festive mass entertainer, "Karuppu" is penned by Rathna Kumar, a frequent collaborator of famed director Lokesh Kanagaraj. He previously co-wrote the scripts for Vijay-starrer "Master" (2021) and "Leo" (2023) with him.
