border2 - 1 'Border 2' is set for a superb Sunday and it completes a strong third weekend for the film

Day 16 was a memorable day for Border 2 as it crossed the Rs 400 crore mark in worldwide gross. The landmark might have come a bit late, given that the film had shot past Rs 200 crore gross in India during the first four days alone. However, the film hasn't fallen off completely and sustained well over the last week or so.

With no big films releasing, Border 2 has stayed strong and grew well across the third weekend, which reaffirms the fact that the family audiences in the northern belts have enjoyed the film. After netting Rs 3 crore on its third Friday, Border 2 leapt to touch Rs 5.5 crore mark on Saturday and is now showing further jump on Sunday.

To some extent, India's T20 World Cup 2026 game against USA hampered the prime time shows, else the film could have gone past Rs 6 crore nett on Saturday itself. Sunday morning and matinee shows have shown approximately 10-15 percent jump in occupancy levels, and expect the trend to continue for the late afternoon and prime time show as well.

Early estimates indicate Rs 6.50-7 crore nett on its third Sunday for Border 2 and it will bring it on the cusp of the coveted Rs 300 crore nett mark in India. The milestone will only be achieved on Monday but it should be close to Rs 299 crore nett by the end of Sunday. Border 2 has another week's potential run left before the Ramadan period kicks in.

The Ramadan period is historically a dry period for Bollywood, in fact it's the same for most industries in India but Bollywood gets affected the most. Nevertheless, Border 2 is a big success and will end as a SUPERHIT at the box office. The overseas figures are around $6 million (Rs 55 crore) and there isn't much more coming from there. The Gulf ban did affect the film as otherwise $8 million was possible.
