The Arjun Ashokan and Roshan Mathew action drama Chatha Pacha grossed Rs 4.05 crore on its opening day, reports said. The Advaith Nayar movie is a tribute to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and the professional wrestlers who were an integral part of the lives of those who grew up in the late 1980s and the three decades afterwards.
After the initial reviews were positive, the afternoon and evening shows across Kerala witnessed good footfall, helping the movie to collect over Rs 3 crore in Kerala alone. The Mollywood drama managed to collect Rs 0.07 crore from outside Kerala, Sacnilk said in a report. According to the website, Chatha Pacha collected Rs 0.03 crore from the two Telugu states on its opening day. Karnataka also contributed Rs 0.03 crore on Day 1, while theatres across Tamil Nadu helped it collect Rs 0.05 crore, Sacnilk said.

In Kerala, the film is distributed by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films, while in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, it is distributed by PVR INOX Pictures. The film is being distributed in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh by Mythri Movie Makers.
Chatha Pacha’s gross domestic collection for Day 1 was Rs 4.05 crore, reports showed. THE WEEK had reported on Thursday that Chatha Pacha had managed to collect Rs 1.79 crore as of 8:00 pm. Apart from Arjun and Roshan, the movie, set in Kochi, also features Carmen S. Mathew, Ishan Shoukath, Vishak Nair, and Mammootty in important roles.
