While the two have not officially confirmed the news of their marriage—or even a relationship—after Thakur called him a "good friend" back in August 2025, the rumours have sparked interest in their net worth.

Dhanush, a prolific Kollywood actor who has also acted in Bollywood and outside India, is still said to be one of India's highest-paid actors, as per a 2026 Asianet Newsable report.
According to the report, Rajnikanth's former son-in-law's net worth is estimated to be Rs 230 crore.
The report added that the 42-year-old, who has a fondness for luxury automobiles, has an annual income of around Rs 35-45 crore, primarily from acting and producing films. He is said to charge Rs 20-35 crore per film.
His role in the Russo brothers' The Gray Man (2022), which earned him approximately Rs 4 crore, was also said to be a big boost for his net worth, and his status as a pan-Indian star.
As for Mrunal Thakur, the last estimate of her net worth comes from a 2023 Lifestyle Asia report, which estimated her net worth to be approximately Rs 33 crore.
The report added that the 33-year-old actress has an annual income of around Rs 7 crore, primarily from films, brand endorsements, and other projects. She is said to charge Rs 2 crore per film.
Going by the reports, this would put their combined net worth well above Rs 250 crore.
Dhanush is currently filming for Kara, expected to release in February this year. The film is said to be a gritty, gripping thriller helmed by Por Thozhil fame Vignesh Raja.
Mrunal Thakur, on the other hand, will next be seen in Dacoit: A Love Story, a bilingual action thriller which will release on March 19 this year. The film is helmed by debutante Shaneil Deo, and was shot in Hindi and Telugu.
