Akshaye Khanna is all set to dance his way to the sets of Dhurandhar 2, as per a new report. Caution: there are spoilers ahead!

The Bollywood actor who played the real-life Pakistani gangster, Rehman Baloch (aka Rehman Dakait), will return to the sets of Aditya Dhar's sequel to the hugely successful espionage thriller, Dhurandhar, despite the character's death, a Filmfare report said.

Khanna's portrayal of the brooding gangster—as well as his viral improvised dance in the film for Bahraini rapper Flipperachi's song Fa9la—earned him high praise.

Quite a few have even said that his performance overshadowed that of Ranveer Singh's Hamza Ali Mazari—an opinion that is hotly disputed.

Towards the end of the film, Rehman Dakait succumbed to his injuries after being fatally wounded in a fight with Hamza and Sanjay Dutt's character, SP Chaudhary Aslam.

Still, the report added that Khanna was returning to shoot Rehman's backstory to fit it into the narrative of the second film—mainly Hamza's revenge arc.

(More details are awaited.)
