Dileep's latest release 'Bha Bha Ba' is nearing the end of its theatrical run and is set to gain FLOP status

bhabhabad3 - 1 'Bha Bha Ba' is set to ends it theatrical run as a FLOP at the box office

As Bha Bha Ba nears the end of its second week in theatres, the film is close to the end of its theatrical run as well. The second Monday collections of the film came to barely Rs 23 lakh and Tuesday's numbers are set to come even lower. All this amidst the lucrative Christmas-New Year season indicates how badly the film has crashed at the box office.

After a tremendous opening day of Rs 7.20 crore that was boosted largely by Mohanlal's extended cameo, the Dileep starrer has only seen a downward trend, starting from Day 2 onwards. The film dropped by more than 50 percent on the second day and while it stayed flat across the first weekend, another huge crash on the first Monday virtually was the last nail on the coffin.

Bha Bha Ba collected close to Rs 17 crore in Kerala during the extended four-day opening weekend and the worldwide gross came to around Rs 33-34 crore. However, since the fifth day, the film has barely seen much traction in collections. The film has gone past Rs 25 crore in Kerala but will finish well below the Rs 30 crore mark.

As for the worldwide gross, Bha Bha Ba will end up with figures of around Rs 43-44 crore, although the promotional figures may come up to Rs 50 crore on social media. Nevertheless, even that figure wouldn't be enough to save Bha Bha Ba from the inevitable FLOP status. The film was made on a large budget apart from the high fees given to Mohanlal for his cameo role.

In fact, the song featuring Mohanlal and Dileep had a set that was reportedly made at a cost of Rs 4 crore. Fair to say that the costs of the film are high and needed a worldwide gross of Rs 75 crore or above to be a profitable venture for all stakeholders. It set to gain a FLOP status and even this is purely due to the initial collections for which the crew must thank Mohanlal's presence.
