Apple TV has announced some welcome developments for fans of three of its most popular shows: Platonic, Tehran, and Your Friends & Neighbors. These include renewals and premiere dates of upcoming seasons.

Platonic

The Seth Rogen-Rose Byrne comedy is getting a third season, since the first two seasons fared well with its target audience. Both seasons, each with half-hour episodes, have garnered largely positive acclaim. On Rotten Tomatoes, the first season has a 93% score and the second, 100%.

“We couldn’t be more excited to get back into the world of Platonic with our amazing partners, Rose and Seth, and Sony and Apple,” said co-creators Stoller and Delbanco in an official statement.

Platonic revolves around platonic best friends reconnecting after splitting a long time ago, and trying to navigate a midlife crisis.

Season 2 cast comprises Luke Macfarlane and Carla Gallo, with Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, Beck Bennett, and Milo Manheim as guest stars.

Tehran

The third season of Tehran will premiere on January 9, 2026, with a single episode, followed by weekly episodes every Friday, culminating in the finale on February 27. The streamer also announced that a fourth season is in production.

Created by Dana Eden, Moshe Zonder, and Maor Kohn, written by Tony Saint and Simon Allen, the third season will see the addition of Hugh Laurie as Eric Peterson, a South African nuclear inspector.

Niv Sultan will return as agent-gone-rogue, Tamar Rabinyan, alongside other cast members Shaun Toub and Shila Ommi. Aside from Laurie, new additions include Sasson Gabai, Phoenix Raei, and Bahar Pars.

Your Friends & Neighbors

Jon Hamm-starrer Your Friends & Neighbors is returning for a second season. Apple has announced the premiere date for the dark comedy drama.

Created by novelist and producer Jonathan Tropper, the new season will begin streaming from April 3, 2026, with one episode, followed by a new episode every Friday, with the final set for June 5.

Season 2 will introduce James Marsden as the new cast member, while Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Gravitt, and Donovan Colan will reprise their original roles.
