After massive fall on Monday, Ajay Devgn's latest release De De Pyaar De 2 has been trending steadily, albeit on the lower side. The discounted offers at major ticketing platforms meant that Tuesday's figures went above Monday's but normalcy was retained on Wednesday as the film showed a slightly lower figure to Monday.
While the extreme drops mean that Rs 100 crore nett in India is out of reach, De De Pyaar De 2 has at least not fallen off the cliff completely during the weekdays. After registering Rs 4 crore nett on Monday and Rs 4.75 crore nett on Tuesday, Wednesday's figures came to roughly Rs 3.50 crore nett.
The six-day collections in India are standing at Rs 47 crore nett and the film is looking at a Rs 50 crore nett first week in the country. Thursday's morning shows have started on a similar note to Wednesday and afternoon shows have also witnessed an identical trend, which means a similar figure at the box office as well.

A first week gross of approximately Rs 59.50 crore is on the cards for De De Pyaar De 2 and these are poor numbers for a major Bollywood release in 2025. To put it into perspective, the first part, De De Pyaar De managed to collect Rs 55 crore nett in its first week, way back in 2019. That film ended with approximately Rs 95 crore nett in India, which means a gross of Rs 111 crore roughly.
De De Pyaar De 2 will need a miracle to get past the collections of its predecessor which also had a strong run of five weeks to get to its lifetime figure. With the box office trends having changed post-pandemic, the rom-com genre in particular has taken a beating and films of this category would need exceptional word-of-mouth to survive. De De Pyaar De 2 clearly is lacking in that regard.
