Odia playback singer Humane Sagar passed away on Monday night, leaving behind yet another void in Odisha since the death of Assamese sensation Zubeen Garg.
The 36-year-old, who had been admitted to AIIMS Bhubhaneswar last Friday, had been battling bilateral pneumonia, acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF), multi-organ dysfunction syndrome and other complications, a hospital bulletin said.
"I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of renowned playback singer Humane Sagar. His demise is an irreparable loss to our music and cinema," Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi wrote on X.
Sagar burst onto the Ollywood scene with the title track of 'Ishq Tu Hi Tu' in 2015, going on to record more than 150 film songs over the decade.
