Pradeep Ranganathan-starrer Dude will be hitting the OTT space nearly a month after its theatrical release. Netflix has announced that the film will begin streaming from November 14.

Written and directed by Keerthiswaran, the Mythri Movie Makers production stars Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju as the leads, with R. Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon, Rohini, Aishwarya Sharma and Neha Shetty comprising the supporting roles.

Dude has cinematography by Niketh Bommi and editing by Barath Vikraman. Sai Abhyankkar composed the soundtrack

In its review of the film, THE WEEK wrote: "Dude has some nice core ideas as the film tries to convey some socially relevant messages. However, in a bid to stick to the template commercial entertainer, Keerthiswaran loses his grip over the writing. In fact, it is only from the pre-interval portions that the film starts to take itself seriously. The post-interval portions have some good moments but thereafter, the screenplay gets messier with some poorly written sequences. Pradeep, though, holds things together to some extent with his insatiable energy. However, unlike Love Today and Dragon where his timing was nearly flawless, Dude is a hit-and-miss performance from him."

However, the review praised Mamitha Baiju's Tamil debut, adding that "her performances in the emotional sequences are one of the major strong points of the film."

A filmmaker himself, Pradeep Ranganathan has directed Comali and Love Today, aside from writing the scripts for the two films. He made his acting debut in Comali. He will be seen next in Vignesh Shivan's Love Insurance Kompany.
