Dies Irae, starring Pranav Mohanlal, has increased its collections during the second weekend after a dip on weekdays. In nine days, the movie has collected over Rs 60 crore in worldwide earnings.
This includes Rs 35 crore in gross domestic collection and Rs 25.3 crore earnings from overseas.
The net domestic collection of Dies Irae was recorded at Rs 31.63 crore till 9 pm on Saturday, according to early estimates by Sacnilk. On Day 8, the Rahul Sadasivan directorial earned Rs 3.18 crore in net domestic collection till 9 pm.
Produced by Night Shift Studios and Y Not Studios reportedly at a budget of Rs 24 crore, the horror thriller opened with Rs 4.7 crore in the domestic box office of Day 1.
It collected Rs 5.7 crore on first Saturday and Rs 6.35 crore on Day 3. However, the earnings plunged on Day 4 with Dies Irae collecting Rs 3 crore on Monday. The following days saw gradual dip, with the movie raking in Rs 2.6 crore on Day 5, Rs 2.3 crore on Day 6 and Rs 1.8 crore on Day 7. The collections slightly improved on Friday as Dies Irae earned Rs 2 crore on its Day 8.
In the first week, Dies Irae minted Rs 26.46 crore in net domestic collection and Rs 31.1 crore in gross domestic collection. It also Rs 24.15 crore in overseas earnings in the first week, taking the total worldwide collection to Rs 55.25 crore.
Besides Pranav, the movies also stars Sushmita Bhat, Jaya Kurup, Shine Tom Chacko, Arun Ajikumar, Sreedhanya, Madan Babu K, Sudha Sukumari, Subha Sumithran, Manohari Joy, Swathi Das Prabhu, Athulya Chandra, Anagha Ashok, Saheer Mohammed, Manoj Moorthy, Nidhinya Pattayil and Priya Sreejith.
